Narine Sargsyan Dokmajian

Narine Sargsyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. She has earned both her bachelor's and master's degree from Brooklyn College. She has been working with HSBC bank for more than nine years. She started her professional career as a teller at one of the local banks and quickly gained experience, which has led her to work in different aspects of banking. She has experience working in retail banking as well as commercial banking and now she is in corporate banking as the implementation solution manager for Trade. Narine has reached a new milestone in her career as the VP of the Trade Service Department of Bank of China.
Narine is trilingual, fluently speaking in Armenian, English, and Russian. She is a proud Council member of St. Vartan cathedral and has been involved with the church for the last 10 years. She has organized different events for the Armenian community and for young professionals.
She has been with Sunday school 7 Years. She loves teaching children.

Yn. Alla Terzyan Karamyan was born in Armenia. She loves working with children and enjoys seeing her students engaged and enthusiastic. She has been teaching “Armenian” in Holy Martyrs Armenian Language School since 2018 and “Christian Education” in St. Vartan School since 2019. For her walking with children in their faith journey is a very rewarding experience. She graduated from Yerevan State University, and she has a PhD in Physical Chemistry. She used to work as a researcher and assistant professor at YSU. Yn. Alla teaches science in middle and high school.

Zovinar Aghavian
Music Teacher

Margarita Arzanyan
Dance Instructor
Margarita was born in Russia. She has been teaching Armenian national and traditional dances over 6 years. She also has been participating in various trainings and master classes to promote Armenian Dance Culture. She thinks that love for the Motherland and Armenian Culture should be developed in the early years of childhood, and dance is one of the most important ways to do that.
Margarita is a member of the International Dance Council (CID). She is teaching in St. Vartan School since 2021.
Zovinar Aghavian was born and raised in New York and is a recent graduate with a bachelor’s from NYIT. She began singing in the St. Vartan choir from a very young age with her mother and vocal mentor Anoosh Barclay. She has performed in numerous musical competitions, concerts, and events. She has performed outside of New York on several occasions, including Armenia for the Armenian troops and has worked together with renowned composer Robert Amirkhanyan.
Zovinar is fluent in English, and both Eastern and Western Armenian. She has officially been an active member of the St. Vartan Choir for 12 years. She has worked as a teacher’s assistant and a children’s music teacher at the Holy Martyrs Armenian Saturday school for two years and has worked with the St. Vartan School children as a music teacher.
